Wind has played, and continues to play, an important role in the global shift towards green energy production. Despite the large share of solar projects, wind has historically been an important part of Universal Kraft, with greenfield and brownfield operations around the world.

 

We are currently working with wind in hybrid projects that combine wind and solar production in the same connection.

We believe that combining wind with alternative power sources is the way to optimization. 

Wind provides variable power over shorter time scales, although it can be consistent over longer periods. To be more efficient, it can be combined with other energy sources, such as solar.

 

We implement hybrid projects to create both a better production profile and a more efficient use of existing infrastructure. We can efficiently reduce the need for expensive storage in off-grid solutions and use existing infrastructure as a connection and grid. Our hybrid projects can also generate green electricity for hydrogen production.

 

Onshore wind is one of our most important renewable resources today, being a very price efficient way of new and clean energy. Today, Universal Kraft has started to involve in large scale wind developments in Europe and North America.
